We are now accepting designer applications
The SoCal Fashion Show wants your designer application for inclusion in the Spring 2022 SoCal Fashion Show runway event. Show fees are $250, plus the donation of at least one piece (minimum retail value $100) or gift certificate for $100 from your line for the charity auction.
About the event
The Spring 2022 SoCal Fashion Show will be held at the Segerstrom Shelby Event Center in Irvine, California. All proceeds from the event will be donated to the RiteCare® Childhood Language Center of Orange County. Their mission is to provide free diagnostic and therapeutic services to children from 2 to 16 years of age who exhibit a wide range of speech, language and learning challenges.
This year’s event is expected to draw an audience of several hundred from Orange County, Los Angeles, and the surrounding area.
Eligibility
- The Spring 2022 SoCal Fashion Show is open to all shops and designers ages 18 or above.
- All works must be wearable objects to be modeled on a runway, and must exhibit unique, innovative, inspirational and creative artistry.
Requirements
Models for the runway show will be provided and any designer-preferred models must be approved by the committee in advance. Designers must be willing to participate in collaboration with any and all event staff in regard to video recording, interviews, blog postings, and any other supplemental activities deemed appropriate by the charity and event teams. Designers must always conduct themselves in a professional manner when participating in any SoCal Fashion Show event or any event sponsored by or affiliated with SoCal Fashion Show and/or any of its sponsors or partners.
Submissions must include look book, line sheet or current collection viewable online. All submissions should identify designer, contact information, and primary materials.
The event will be held at the Segerstrom Shelby Event Center in Irvine, California
Deadline for applications is midnight, February 1st, 2022
What Accepted Designers MUST provide to the show
- Fully designed and prepped line for showing
- Styling for your line including jewelry, shoes, headwear, etc
- We do request that the models bring their own personal shoes based on instructions from the designers including colors and types of shoes. Please plan accordingly and be prepared to style your show.
- High Res Logo
- Introduction (A short paragraph that will be read to introduce your line)
- Custom Music
- If no custom music provided, the designer can provide a playlist to the DJ no later than two weeks prior to the show. If no playlist provided, the DJ will select music that (s)he deems appropriate for the show.
- Suggested donation of at least one piece (minimum retail value $100) or gift certificate for $100 from your line for the charity auction. Donations of more than one piece and higher value are greatly appreciated!
- Payment in the amount of $250. This is to cover show costs. Because of this, payments must be received no later than 30 days prior to the show.
